Keith has been teaching avalanche education for 28 years in Colorado, Utah, and BC. He also ski guides for Big Red Cats. Keith is a Professional Member of the Canadian Avalanche Association and has been sitting on the Development Committee who have recently updated the Avalanche Skills Training Curriculum. Keith has also published articles on innovative ways to include Human Factors in avalanche decision making. Keith is currently finishing a book on Avalanche Safety that will be the textbook for all AST1 students starting the 2018-19 season.
Keith has been working his way down the corporate ladder for the past 35 years. He started as an Environmental Engineer in San Francisco and is now in the enviable position of Instructor/Guide in the winter, and a part-time Mental Health Clinician for youth during the off season.
